WELCOME TO THE TEAM

Hi Dime Box!
I was born in Lubbock to a military family. We moved to Key West, FL; Berlin, Oklahoma City, and Okinawa.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in mass communications at East Central University in Ada, OK. I was a reporter and then editor for daily, weekly, and monthly newspapers.
I started my teaching career as a fourth-grade teacher’s assistant in the mid-90s. I then substitute taught in the OKC Public School and Mid-Del School Districts.
In 1999, I moved to Southern California where I substitute taught for 10 years and taught ninth and tenth-grade English for five years. While there, I adopted my son now age 25.
In 2019, I moved to southeastern Oklahoma where I taught ninth and tenth-grade English for four years. While there, I adopted a blue and red heeler dog named Lucky.
I absolutely love to swim anywhere. And I enjoy crafting when I visit my parents in Georgetown.
