Yesterday morning, our FFA officers arrived at school bright and early to embark on an exciting adventure filled with new experiences and opportunities! Not only did they all experience flying for the very first time, but they are also attending their first National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana!

 

Today was another early morning packed with learning, leadership, and unforgettable memories!

We kicked off the day exploring the expo hall, where our members had the opportunity to connect with colleges, universities, and businesses from across the country. While exploring, Alex chose to give back by participating in an on-site service project, earning himself a Rooted in Service pin!

 

Next, our officers attended a workshop titled “HABITS: YOUR BEST FRIENEMY,” where they connected with fellow FFA members from across the nation. The workshop focused on how positive habits can move us forward, while negative habits can hold us back. Members explored how habits are formed, what influences our daily decisions, and how developing strong routines and putting in consistent effort can lead to exponential growth!

 

The workshop also included some friendly competition!

 

Heather and Damaris’s group won the Rice Relay Challenge, an activity demonstrating exponential growth!

 

Alex’s team won another group challenge and even had the opportunity to take a picture with the presenter afterward!

 

To top it all off, each of our officers earned a Gold Key pin for participating in the workshop!

We wrapped up our day at the convention center by attending the first Opening Session of the 99th National FFA Convention, where this year’s theme, “Evolve. Engage. Empower.”, set the tone for an inspiring week ahead!

 

We are incredibly proud of these officers for stepping outside their comfort zones, embracing new experiences, making connections, and representing Dime Box FFA! These are the kinds of opportunities that help shape tomorrow’s leaders, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store! 💙💛
