Day TWO of the 99th National FFA Convention was just as jam-packed as day one!
Our officers kicked off another exciting day by once again making it a priority to participate in the on-site service project! Staying true to the FFA motto, “Living to Serve,” they spent time making scarves that will be donated to individuals experiencing homelessness. We love seeing them take every opportunity to make a difference!
Damaris attended a workshop titled “The Most Important Word in the World,” where she learned practical techniques for remembering names and how something so simple can help build meaningful relationships, make lasting connections, and open doors to new opportunities!
Meanwhile, Heather and Alex have taken networking to a whole new level! They set a goal to meet FFA members from all 50 states and 3 U.S. territories, and together they are just FIVE connections away from reaching it!
They have also taken the National FFA pin challenge VERY seriously and have already earned a majority of the pins! To make things even better, Alex was recognized by a convention staff member for demonstrating FFA values through a simple act of kindness and was awarded a special pin! Moments like these remind us that even the smallest actions can make a big impact.
And wouldn’t you know it, Mrs. Maxwell even managed to make a surprise appearance! Well… a version of her, anyway! We couldn’t leave her out of all the fun! We sure do miss her! 💙💛
We wrapped up another fun-filled day with a little friendly competition at the arcade & bowling alley before catching up on school work and calling it a night to getting some rest for another big day tomorrow!
Between the service, leadership opportunities, new friendships, endless laughter, and memories being made, these officers are truly making the most of every moment at National Convention! We couldn’t be prouder of the way they continue to represent Dime Box FFA!
